Cancelling & Refunds

What it costs, and when

$44 a year for the membership, charged when you join and again each year on the same date until you cancel. There is no monthly option and no other charge. Titles and Complete Lives bought outright are one payment, owned permanently, and never charged again. A gifted year is one payment and never renews.

Cancelling

One click, from your library, at any hour, with no message to write and no reason to give. Cancelling is exactly as easy as joining was, deliberately.

When you cancel you keep every book to the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not shut the door the moment you reach for it. After that the library closes, your account remains, and your free Invitation books stay yours permanently.

Refunds

If you were charged for a period you did not mean to renew, write to [email protected] within 14 days and we will refund it in full, no reason required. That is a promise, not a discretion.

Books bought outright before the membership existed keep the promise they were bought under: refundable in full within 14 days, and yours to keep for good otherwise. Nothing you already own is changed by any of this.

Something went wrong instead?

If a payment went through and the library did not open, that is our fault and not a refund matter. Write to us and we will put it right by hand, promptly.
